The family of the late Honourable Michael O. Akanji Ogungbenro announces the final burial rites of their beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and cousin, who peacefully slept in the Lord on 12th May 2025, at the age of 90.
Hon. Michael O. Akanji Ogungbenro was a distinguished community leader and a strong political figure in Igangan Land and the wider Ibarapa Central and North Federal Constituency of Oyo State.
A man of vision, courage, and integrity, Hon. Ogungbenro devoted his life to public service, community development, and political leadership. Throughout his life, he championed the cause of unity, progress, and social justice, ensuring that Igangan and its people had a voice in governance and development.
His leadership inspired generations, and his contributions to community upliftment, education, and social harmony remain a lasting legacy that will be celebrated for years to come.
