A distinguished Ibarapa-born, stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State and House of Representatives aspirant for Ibarapa Central/North Federal Constituency, Barrister Opeyemi Tijani (BOT), has extended warm and heartfelt felicitations to the Muslim Ummah around the world on the auspicious commencement of the holy month of Ramadan.

In a message of unity and spiritual reflection, Barrister Tijani also charged the entire Christian faithful across the nation on their ongoing Lenten season, urging both religious communities to embrace the shared values of sacrifice, prayer, and compassion that define these sacred periods.
“As the crescent moon heralds the arrival of another blessed Ramadan, I join millions of Muslims worldwide in celebrating this sacred month of fasting, prayer, and spiritual rejuvenation,” Barrister Tijani declared. “Ramadan is a divine gift—a time for self-purification, deep reflection, and unwavering devotion to Almighty Allah. It is a period that teaches us patience, humility, and the profound importance of charity towards our fellow human beings.”

Barrister Tijani equally acknowledged the Christian faithful who are currently observing the Lenten season, emphasizing the spiritual parallels between both religious observances.
“I also extend my heartfelt solidarity to our Christian brothers and sisters who are faithfully observing the Lenten period—a season of prayer, fasting, and almsgiving in preparation for the celebration of Easter. Both Ramadan and Lent remind us of our shared humanity and our collective need for divine guidance. They teach us that sacrifice and spiritual discipline are pathways to personal and national transformation.”

The House of Representatives aspirant implored all Nigerians to utilize this sacred period to offer fervent prayers for the nation’s peace, unity, and accelerated development. He specifically called on the faithful to pray for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration as it navigates the country through challenging times toward the promised land of renewed hope.
“As we engage in these holy exercises, let us not forget to lift our nation Nigeria in prayers. This is a critical time in our national journey, and the power of collective supplication cannot be overstated,” Barrister Tijani urged. “I implore every Muslim observing Ramadan and every Christian observing Lent to dedicate special prayers for the success of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. Our nation needs divine wisdom, strength, and guidance for our leaders to steer the ship of state effectively.”

He further emphasized that prayer remains a potent tool for national transformation and urged citizens to complement their spiritual obligations with acts of kindness, tolerance, and peaceful coexistence.
“Let us use this holy month and the remaining days of Lent to pray fervently for peace to reign in every corner of our nation. Let us pray for economic recovery, for security, and for unity among our diverse peoples. May these sacred periods bring us closer to Allah and to one another, fostering a spirit of love, forgiveness, and mutual respect.”
Barrister Opeyemi Tijani concluded by wishing the Muslim Ummah a blessed and fulfilling Ramadan, and the Christian faithful a spirit-filled conclusion to their Lenten journey.
“May the blessings of this holy month fill your hearts with peace and your homes with prosperity. Ramadan Kareem to our Muslim brothers and sisters, and a grace-filled Lenten season to our Christian brethren. Together, let us build a Nigeria where faith fuels our collective progress.”
