Warm congratulations are pouring in for Chief (Hon.) Alhaji Fatai Adesina Salau following his official presentation as the Jagun designate of Ayeteland. Among the prominent voices celebrating this significant honour is Barrister Opeyemi Tijani (BOT), an Ibarapa-born stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State.
Barrister Tijani extended heartfelt congratulations to Chief Salau, recognizing the presentation ceremony where the distinguished son of Gbodiko Compound, Ayete, was formally presented to His Royal Majesty, Oba Emmanuel Ewuola, the Asawo of Ayeteland, and the entire Ayete community.

“This elevation to the revered position of Jagun designate is a testament to Chief Salau’s unwavering dedication, exemplary service, and deep roots within our beloved Ayete community,” stated Barrister Tijani. “It is a well-deserved recognition of a lifetime committed to the progress of Ayete, Ibarapa North, and Oyo State at large.”
Chief Salau brings a wealth of experience and a proven track record of service to this prestigious traditional role. His distinguished public service career includes:
- Former Chairman, Ibarapa North Local Government (Ayete)
- Former Special Adviser to the Oyo State Governor
- Former Oyo State Commissioner for Liaison
The title of Jagun (meaning “The Warrior” or “Valiant One” in Yoruba) is a high chieftaincy honour, traditionally bestowed upon individuals of exceptional courage, leadership, and commitment to the protection and development of the community. As Jagun designate, Chief Salau is poised to assume this vital position within the Ayete traditional council upon formal installation.

“Chief Salau’s journey from grassroots administration to the state executive and now to this esteemed traditional council reflects his versatility and the profound respect he commands,” Barrister Tijani added. “His wisdom, integrity, and passion for community development will undoubtedly be invaluable assets in his new role as Jagun. We are confident he will serve Ayeteland with the same distinction he has shown throughout his career.”
Barrister Tijani joined the people of Ayete, Ibarapa North, and well-wishers across Oyo State in praying for Chief Salau’s successful tenure. He expressed confidence that the new Jagun designate would work harmoniously with His Royal Majesty, Oba Emmanuel Ewuola, and other chiefs to foster peace, unity, and continued progress in Ayeteland.
The entire community anticipates the formal installation ceremony with great pride, celebrating one of its most accomplished sons ascending to a position of significant cultural and leadership responsibility.
