An Ibarapa-born legal luminary and stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Oyo State, Barrister Opeyemi Tijani (BOT), has extended heartfelt congratulations to former ALGON Chairman, Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye, on his appointment as the Federal Character Commission (FCC) Commissioner representing Oyo State.

The appointment, announced on Monday, August 11, 2025, by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, has been widely hailed as a testament to the President’s commitment to rewarding competence, loyalty, and dedicated service to the nation.

In his congratulatory message, Barr. Tijani described Prince Aleshinloye as a seasoned grassroots politician, administrator, and community leader whose wealth of experience will be an asset to the FCC. He noted that the former council boss has consistently demonstrated an unwavering commitment to fairness, equity, and the advancement of public service throughout his political career.

“Prince Aleshinloye’s appointment is a well-deserved recognition of his exemplary leadership and steadfast dedication to the ideals of equity and inclusivity, which the Federal Character Commission stands for. I have no doubt that he will discharge his duties with the same passion and integrity that have defined his service to the people of Oyo State,” Tijani said.

Barr. Tijani also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his visionary leadership and keen eye for identifying capable hands for national assignments. He expressed confidence that such appointments will further strengthen the efficiency of federal institutions and foster national unity.

“This decision by President Tinubu once again reflects his resolve to place the right people in the right positions for the benefit of our dear nation. It is a reassurance that merit and loyalty are recognised and rewarded under his administration,” Tijani added.

Prince Ayodeji Abass Aleshinloye, popularly known as “Aleshinloye Alese,” previously served as the Chairman of Oluyole Local Government Area and as Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Oyo State Chapter, where he distinguished himself through innovative leadership and people-oriented policies.

His appointment to the FCC is expected to further the commission’s mandate of ensuring fair representation and equitable distribution of opportunities across Nigeria’s diverse regions.
